The Bass Yaks motor arrived on Monday, and after a bit of tinkering, all is set and ready to go! The motor featured here is a 45lb thrust MinnKota motor. It installs on the Frontier 12 in around 5 minutes. The only drilling or screwing required is for a couple pad eyes that serve as line guides. Other than that, it is all plug & play.
According to our GPS, we average 4.5mph over a .2 mile stretch. The motor has plenty of power to get you around quickly & easily.

Please be aware that Mr Komarinetz is a very hard man to deal with. I placed an order and was given a expected shipping date of about 2 1/2 weeks. He charged my credit card at time of order. After waiting almost a month I tried to contact him with no response. Only after sending an email and writing ORDER on the subject line did he respond. Here is his responce: Mark maybe you should realize some things are out of my control, I will refund your payment today. Witch he did a week later!!!! So after a month+ of waiting I got nothing. Good luck if you order one.
ReplyDeleteMark, We tried to contact you about your order for a Ocean Kayaks MALIBU XL2 D.I.Y kit but received this email back :

Rather than to disappoint you any further I felt is was better to return your payment, that's why it took 1 week to refund you)
We have no control of the email account you gave us.
Bassyaks has 100's of satisfied customers out there, just ask someone who owns one.
